Dr hab. Michał Polasik, prof. UMK
Associate Professor at the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Management at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń.
Director of the Center for Digital Economy and Finance at NCU and leader of the FinTech Copernicus Hub project, part of the European Digital Innovation Hubs network under the Digital Europe program.
Author of over one hundred scientific publications in the field of digital banking and retail payments.
He has led numerous research projects, including the pan-European study "PayTechImpact.EU" funded by the National Science Centre (NCN), as well as several R&D projects in the areas of FinTech, payment systems, e-commerce, and cryptocurrencies.
He conducted an evaluation study of the PSD2 regulation for the European Commission titled "Study on the application and impact of Directive (EU) 2015/2366 on Payment Services (PSD2)."
Leader of the "Sustainable Mortgage" project carried out by the FINSEC Foundation.
